Can anyone tell me if the BBQ is going to operating at the trial game or should I have tea at home, thanks.

They don't usually have the BBQ open for trial matches. The canteen and bar should be open though.

Looking forward to heading down tonight and seeing the improvement from all the players.

League Final Scores

West - 9.7 = 61
Norwood - 8.11 = 59

Bloods win by 2 points

GOALS:
West - A.Hayes 5, B.Fisher, R.Newell, N.Homburg, J.Beech 1

A good win by the boys with at least 8 first choice players missing.

Norwood defeated West comfortably by 52 points in the reserves..

I agree with Merrick, the catering was very poor, even if you managed to get a pie, it was cold anyway.
Another point, i think our lighting is very poor to the stage where even i find it difficult to pick up what's going on the opposite side of the ground. I noticed not all globes were working, are they broken or just not switched on? and some are pointing down too much onto the terraces instead of out onto the ground it's self. If we are to host a lot of night games, surely the lighting must be addressed.

There are a few globes on the light towers not working, about 3 from memory, and i do agree that some do need adjusting to point out more towards the oval. There is at least one light on each pole pointing almost directly down instead of out to the oval, but i was told it is a costly expense to replace or adjust them. I'm not sure how many more lights need to die before they get in a crane or cherry picker to fix them.

Agree about the lights, but there were hot pies just before the game and still at half-time.

The lights do seem to be concentrated on the flanks and terraces.

Perhaps if you stood on the terraces and held your pie out the lights might warm it up.

So did I, lachlan  Very Happy

welcome to the forum, Victor.

Pies and lights aside, I thought a few people might have been pleased with the trial win and a few recruits looking good?
