West v Sturt.

Post by Second Team on Mon May 12, 2014 10:39 am

Sturt are not that good and we are getting better.
M.Still out with an injury. Does Hardy come in yet?
With Nelson doing better do we bring in Carter to ruck as well. Does show alot each week.
We won there last year and we can win again.  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

I think Carter, Nelson and Webb would leave us way too top heavy with ruckmen. Middleton's spot might be under more pressure if not for Still's injury, but maybe he would benefit by playing full forward this week.
Hardy sounds like he needs a few more games under his belt. I wonder if they'd look at Durdin as a forward.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am sure I saw Durdin come of injured in the game before the league on Saturday. Hardy looked like he needs a couple of more games in the magoos, just to get fitness to a level needed for league footy.

If Webby starts ruck and Nelson on the bench our forward line will have only Middleton as our only tall. With fine weather on Sunday this would be crazy I would think.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Well, yes, and if you put Webb, Nelson and Middleton all on the bench you'd have no tall forwards, but if you rucked Nelson that gives you Webb and Middleton to play forward. I think if you're going to bring another tall in, it needs to be a KPP rather than a ruckman. And if we don't have a good enough one, don't play them. Only 2 of our goals on the weekend were kicked by talls and I don't think either of them was from a mark.

I would assume one of our other talls will drop out.
