Question - AFL tickets for season ticket holders

Post by blackandred on Sun Jun 08, 2014 9:48 pm

I have a couple of tickets to the AFL at Adelaide Oval secured through the allocation to season ticket holders. Advice from the club says you can 'sit in any of the Open Choice seating areas' of the western Stand.

The tickets have a row and seat number on them which seems to indicate they are specific seats.

Does anyone know what the arrangement is? I don't want to get there 2 hours before the game if there are seats allocated.

I can't recall what my tickets said but I used this offer and it was for unreserved seating in the western stand. I got there early and even still most of the seats were taken up by blankets etc.

My question is...how did you get them in the first place? I tried to get on the site via the link for both the crows v suns and north melb games to no avail. Then asked the club to get them for me,(in the NM case the next day) and was told all sold out.
Did you go online at midnight when they came available or something?

I got the tickets about 3 weeks ago for the Gold Coast game. I just followed the link on the email and used the password provided.

Ticket sales open at 9am on the day stipulated. They seem to sell out on the day so it's best to book as close to 9am as possible. Not sure how many are available but it would not be many.

Thanks for the responses to date. Still not too sure if I have a specified seat or not.
