Very sad news. CRAIG Bennetts rang me today to let me know.

Bobby was the runner in the 1983 premiership year & very close to the coach & all the players.

One of his daughters Kerry married Scott Hodges & they have been seen at various WAFC functions most recently at the last Past Players & Officials dinner.

For those who knew Bob keep your eyes open for funeral arrangements.

Along with noel harradine and many many other legends of west adelaide including doug thomas ans neil kerley i went to bob cox memorial service today at richmond oval. The family spoke warnly and well about the person we all loved -- his daughter is an amazing woman who made us laught on a sad day with her insights into bobby as a man and a father.

Well mced by greg somerton who provide dignity but also much humor

Special thanks were given by the family to bernie conlon, peter murett and steve reckner from the west adelaide past player and official -- thank you guys for what you done.

So sad but so happy to attend at his memorial service -- now forever with his late wife and forever part of richmond oval in front of the past players and officials -- never to be forgotton

Vale Bobby

Do u know the circumstances re Big DAVE's passing Blacky ???

He was a real character IMO but was asked by COLLO to DCM after his colourful language & behaviour which ANDY felt was part of the culture he was determined to change at the time.
