Agree 100%.
A win is the only acceptable outcome this week.
Too many excuses from this club. Losing players, injuries!!!
Sturt won the flag last year and are on track for another crack.
They lost 3 from their premiership side but are doing well this year.

We will know if this club is fair dinkum or not on Saturday.

I think the only thing we'll know on Saturday is whether we're definitely going to finish bottom, or only probably going to finish bottom. I don't think the result of this week's game tells us whether the club is fair dinkum or not, whatever that means.

Fair Dinkum as to wether or not this team wants to get anything out of the remaining 9 games or just go through the motions and collect back to back spoons.

Unusual for Klemke to be out injured

A bit of deja vu today. 0-9, playing Nth Adel, up by 5 goals at 3QT. At least no heart attack moments this time compared to last year where we only just hung on.
I thought we played pretty well for most of the game. Our first half intensity at the ball and the opposition with the ball was excellent. Still good after HT. Tackling was best I've seen for some time. The song being sung for the first time after the game was great to hear. Great team effort and hoping the same mindset comes next week at The Parade.

In an impressive performance at Richmond today the mighty Bloods won their first game of footy for a year! This was a result of an even team effort, taking our chances, sticking to the game plan and a truckload of grit and determination that got us over the line. WA 15.13, NA 13.5.

It was a game where our second tier players stepped up to support Schmidt, Keough, Fielke and Stevens. Kenny Karpany, EWB (12 marks), Schiller, Caire, Burgess, Bates, Batley were the main drivers behind this win. Deep into time on in the last Q with North pressing and kicking some easy goals it was a courageous mark from Brett Turner in front of the stand and a wonderful tackle from Bates on the far wing in the dying seconds that showed the desperation of the team and their desire for a break through win.

At 3Q time in this match we had a larger score on the board than we have kicked in any four Q effort this year. We were 5 goals up and when we kicked another in the opening minute of the last Q we looked home. But North were not to be denied and added 5 goals, assisted a little by us going defensive and trying to waste time when we should have been attacking our goal. But these days you don’t lose too many matches with 15 goals on the scoreboard.

Middleton dropped out of the named team and this left us with virtually no tall marking forwards. Green stepped up and had 3 goals by half time. Young Pillion did some good things. Keep him in for next week. We seemed to dominate the play for the first 3Qs and should have been further in front – we had ten more scoring shots than North at that stage, and had missed a number of set shots from goal that would have put the game well beyond reach at half time. For the match we had 100 more possessions, 50 more marks, 17 more tackles and around 60% of the ball.

Confusion reigned after the final siren. The U18s ran out, our team song stopped half way through then the Centrals song was played but none of this could take away the wonderful feeling of winning our first game of the year and doing it in style.

Next 3 games we have Norwood, Eagles and Crows.

Finally we have won a game of football. I thought we were in control from the very first bounce and obviously it was our best performance for the year.
Keough was magnificent in defence he is one of the premier key defenders in the competition. Wasley-Black's form has improved dramatically since he returned to defence and he was high in our best players and his 2 goals were very important.
Kaine Stevens plays well every week and he is our best midfielder by a very long way.
Chris Burgess played his best game for the year and he also found more footy. This kid can really play and if we could recruit a couple of key position players for next year, he would become an even better player.
Karpanny also played his best game as did Batley.
Bates,Hill,Schiller and Fielke were other good contributors.
We have 3 very tough games coming up and only a strong effort in all of these matches is acceptable.

A really good performance by the boys today.

Without Mason Middleton, we needed a different plan into the 50 and it worked well. Our skills were better and that led to our switch of play being more effective.

So many good efforts today from both experienced and younger players.

Nice to get a win.

I thought Caire was our best, outstanding efforts all day. Keough and Batley were also consistent across the whole game, Burgess did a lot of good things, and I thought Schiller was our best mid, getting a lot of balls out of stoppages. Really pleased for the players who, in the main, look like they've been working really hard for quite a while. That said, North look a dispirited bunch to me, so it'll be interesting to see if we go better against a good side with a win under our belt.
