A very good win in difficult conditions.

Murray Waite was very good, along with Patrick Fairlie, Nigel Osborn, the whole defence and many others.

Outstanding, however, was Elliot Dunkin. He looked a class above, plenty of the footy, used it well and looked a ready made league player for next year.

Should be playing now IMO. He is a gun.

Foot skills & ability to read the play & win the ball is ahead of others in the league team. Not for me to mention who.

Dunkin,Laube and I.Johnson should have all played more league footy this year. Dunkin in time could transition into a very good midfielder, however we certainly need him down back at the moment as he is the only small defender we have who can kick.

While we have tried quite a few players from our Reserves side this season, only one, Josh Ryan, has 'established' himself in the senior side. Most have played just one or two games.

In our last league game against Port Power Reserves we had 11 players 25 years old and older. We had 3 players 30 and older (2 of whom were high in our best players!) Contrary to popular belief we are not a young side. It would be reasonable to expect that some of this senior group will not play on next year.

Lets hope there is a secession plan in place.

ST, you've got the wrong end of the stick again.

Your last 2 posts are not relevant, as the exchange of posts between B&R, F10 and me was friendly banter about the meaning of a couple of words.  Nothing to do with how you've interpreted it.

As for our financial situation, despite various predictions on here, we made our first profit for years last year and now have a sound financial future.  Because of that, you'll be pleased to know that we're hoping to be able to recruit well this year.
