Fraud in club? (locked)

Post by Wafc4ever on Sun Nov 03, 2013 10:09 pm

I have heard from a very reliable source regarding a major fraud case recently within our Club... With a very sad outcome. Can anyone on this forum shed some light in this or will an official announcement be made by the Club?

Everyone knows about it.
Nothing will be done.
It will happen again as we haven't learnt anything in the last 7 or so years.
Seems like Westies attract people that are dishonest.Shocked Shocked Shocked

Seems to me those that don't know, like me are going to be kept in the dark about what has alleged to have taken place. Will the club name and shame the person or persons in the alleged fraud or not.As members we should be informed and SAPOL must be notified if it is a major fraud.

If this is a true story the club MUST let all members know. The board should hit this on the head ASAP if this is just a made up story.I will keep cutting and pasting this and will also start a daily email to the club until we get a true or false statement.

I've heard the alleged fraud is within admin and a very large sum of $$$ .. I love this Club & have been a member for the past 45 years and rarely miss a game. I dearly hope my source to this is incorrect but have a bad feeling about this one folks.

You are welcome, The Truth, but this is a sensitive issue and I have edited your post, as this site does not want to be the subject of legal action.

Two new posters have joined and posted on this topic only, so I ask you to be very careful what is posted on a public forum such as this.

Before anyone starts talking about 'free speech', please be aware that the site owners are in a difficult position and will take a careful approach on sensitive issues such as this.

Sorry guys, but we are going to lock this particular thread before it gets out of hand. We don't know exactly what's going on, or if anything actually has, so it's best we leave it as is for now.
